Determination of 4 Alcohol Ether Esters in Ambient Air and Waste Gas by Gas Chromatography with Carbon Disulfide Desorption

    • The activated carbon adsorption tube collected 30 L of waste gas or ambient air was transferred into a glass tube with stopper, and 1.00 mL of carbon disulfide was added for settling desorption for 30 min. The HP-WAX capillary column was used as stationary phase, and propylene glycol methyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol ethyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate and diethylene glycol butyl ether acetate were separated under the column heating program. It was shown that linear relationships between the mass concentrations and peak areas of the 4 alcohol ether esters were kept in the ranges of 1.00-20.0 mg·L-1 and 10.0-200 mg·L-1, with detection limits (3.143s) in the range of 0.007-0.008 mg·m-3. Test for recovery was made by standard addition method, giving results in the range of 77.9%-93.5%, and RSDs (n=6) of the determined values ranged from 3.2% to 15%.
