    IC Determination of Chlorides in Sediments

    • The sample of sediment was treated by semi-melting with Eschka mixture and the content of chloride was determined by IC. The protective column (IonPacAG11) and separation column (IonPacAS11-HC) were used as ion exchange columns, and 25 mmol·L-1 NaOH was used as eluent. Values of detection limit (3s) of the method found were 8 μg·g-1. The proposed method has been used in the analysis of the CRM′s of sediments from Yellow River delta (GBW 07343, GBW 07344 and GBW 07345), and the results obtained were conformed to their certified values.
