A review on the application of the direct combustion with high-frequency induction furnace-infrared spectrometry to the determination of sulfur in iron ore was presented, prospecting especially for the main influential factors, such as the amount of sample taken and amount of flux added, order of addition of reagent, time of analysis, pretreatment method of crucible, purification of carrier gas and etc. (23 ref. cited).
