Abstract
In a B-R buffer solution of pH 2.0 and using glassy carbon electrode as the working electrode, electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of the cation of ruthenium pyridine [Ru(bpy)2+3] was found strongly enhanced by the presence of bisphenol A (BPA). Based on this fact, a sensitive ECL method was proposed for the determination of BPA. Linear relationship between magnitude of increase in ECL intensity and concentration of BPA was obtained in the range of 9.3×10-9-4.0×10-7mol·L-1, with detection limit (3S/N) of 6.0×10-10mol·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the determination of BPA in sample of polycarbonate feeding-bottle, giving values of recovery and RSD′s (n=5) in the ranges of 94.0%-110% and 3.0%-6.7% respectively.
