ICP-AES Determination of Ni, Fe, Co and Mn in Tungsten Alloy

    • ICP-AES was applied to the determination of Ni, Fe, Co and Mn in tungsten alloy. The optimized conditions found were as follows: ① amount of citric acid solution: 2 mL; ② amount of H2O2 solution: 12 mL; ③ sample weight: 0.100 0 g; ④ amount of NH3·H2O solution: 2 mL. Analytical spectral lines of 221.647, 233.280, 228.616, 259.373 nm were chosen for the determination of Ni, Fe, Co and Mn respectively. Linear relationships between values of emission intensity and mass concentration of the 4 elements were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits (3s/k) found were ranged from 0.018 to 0.083 mg·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of standard samples (JBWY05901), giving results in consistency with the certified values. Production sample and synthetic sample were also determined by this method, values of RSD′s found were (n=6) in the range of 0.72%-3.9%.
