    Testing of 15 Elements in Heroine Produced in Different Areas by ICP-AES

    • ICP-AES was applied to probe for any probable differences in amounts of inorganic elements in heroine produced in different areas.Nine heroine sample of different origins were taken and 15 elements (including Fe,Cu,Sr,Ba,Zn,Li,Sc,Ti,V,Cr,Mn,Co,Ni,B and P) in each sample were tested.Among the aboved mentioned elements,only amounts of the first 5 elements achieved to values exceeding the lower limits of determination,and were determined by ICP-AES.As shown by the analytical results,significant differences in amounts of the 5 elements in samples from different area,were observed,especially those of Fe,Cu,Zn were more suitable to be used as a basis to differentiate production area of heroine.
