Optimization of Extraction Conditions of Total Flavones from Plantagomajor L. with Response Surface Method

    • The conditions for ultrasonic-wave-assisted extraction of total flavones in Plantagamajor L. were optimized by applying the response surface method. Single factor testing was performed to select the appropriate factors and levels for extraction experiments, and then based on the experimental designing of Box-Behnken Central composite, the extraction conditions were optimized by applying the methamatical model of 3-factors and 3-levels, and the response surface analysis. The optimized extraction conditions found were as follow: ① conc. of ethanol: (φ) 70.67%; ② extraction time: 30.67 min; ③ ratio of ethanol (mL) to sample (g) of 15∶1. Rate of extraction obtained under the optimum conditions attained to 50.65 mg·g-1, which is very close to the predicted value (50.74 mg·g-1).
