INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA-MASS SPECTROMETRIC DETERMINATION OF TRACE-ELEMENTS IN TOMATO

    • Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry with hexapole collision reaction cell was applied to the determination of micro or trace amounts of metal elements in tomato.Gas mixture of He and H2 (mixed with the ratio of 93 to 7) was introduced into the collision reaction cell to eliminate effectively the interferences of molecular ions (Ar-Cl-,Ar-Ar etc.) to the determination of arsenic and selenium, and to guarantee the accuracy of analytical results. The analytical results obtained by this method were in consistency with the results obtained by AAS and AFS.
