Abstract
Sample of seashell was pretreated by microwave assisted digestion, and the contents of Cd, Cr, Cu and Pb in sample solution were determined by ICP-MS. The isotopes (i.e., 111Cd, 53Cr, 63Cu and 208Pb) of the elements determined were selected to overcome the mass spectrometric interferences. Linear relationships of the 4 elements were kept in definite ranges, with detection limits (3s) in the range of 0.005-0.17 μg·L-1. Values of recovery and RSD′s (n=7) found were 94.7% and 4.3% for Cd, 102.1% and 3.8% for Cr, 101.9% and 1.5% for Cu, 105.3% and 6.0% for Pb.
