Abstract
Micellar sweeping-electrokinetic chromatography-capillary electrophoresis was applied to the determination of iso-ferulic acid, ferulic acid and caffeic acid in rhizome cimicifuagae foetidae under enhanced electric field intensity.A mixed solution containing 90 mmol·L-1 SDS,20 mmol·L-1 NaH2PO4 (pH 2.20) and methanol (amounting to 10% by volume of the solution) was used as the electrophoretic medium.Separation voltage applied was 20 kV and wavelength of detection was taken at 214 nm.Under the optimum conditions, values of multiple of enrichment of 4.3,4.8 and 2.9 were attained for iso-ferulic acid, ferulic acid and caffeic acid respectively. The analysis of a sample was completed within 14 minutes.Linearity ranges of the 3 acids were kept in the ranges of 0.50-20.0,0.5-20.0 and 1.0-40.0 mg·L-1 respectively.Recovery and precision were tested and values of recovery and RSD′s (n=5) found were in the ranges of 93.2%-113.3% and <6% respectively.
