    HPLC Determination of Anti Prostate Cancer Drug Abiraterone Acetate

    • A method of HPLC for the determination of anti prostate cancer drug abiraterone acetate was proposed. Separation of the analyte was performed on a Amethyst C18-H column (150 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) with acetonitrile and phosphate salt buffer solution as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. Absorbance of the eluent was monitored at 236 nm with the sample volume of 20 μL. Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of abiraterone acetate was kept in the range of 0.1-1.2 g·L-1 with detection limit (3S/N) of 0.05 mg·L-1.On the base of blank sample, test for recovery was made by standard addition method. Average value of recovery found was 99.6% with RSD (n=6) of 0.17%.
