Abstract
An ICP-AES method for the determination of Fe,Mn,and Pb in petrol was proposed. Analytical conditions,including choice of analytical sepctral lines,solvent and internal standards,were studied. Wavelengths of 238.204,257.610 and 224.688 nm were selected as analytical lines for the determination of Fe,Mn and Pb respectively. Detection limits (3δ) of Fe,Mn and Pb found were 0.09,0.05 and 0.58 mg·L-1 respectively. The proposed method was used in determination of the 3 elements in petrol,giving values of recovery in the ranges of 96.2%-100.2%,100.3%-106.9%,97.5%-101.2% respectively,and values of RSD′s (n=5) less than 3.5%. It was shown that precision of analytical results obtained by the proposed method was better than those obtained by AAS.
