Abstract
ICP-AES was applied to the determination of boron in glass.The sample was dissolved in HF with addition of mannitol to protect B(Ⅲ) from loss by volatilization or the sample was fused with KOH and acidified with HNO3.The analytical spectral line of 249.772 nm was selected for the determination of B in the sample solution.For samples containing iron ≥50 mg·L-1,the infra-sensitive spectral line of 249.678 nm was used to eliminate the interference.Some CRM′s were analyzed by the proposed method for their boron contents,the results obtained were checked quite well with their certified values,with RSD′s (n=5) ≤1.5%.Recovery of the method was also tested by standard addition method,giving value of recovery 100.2%.
