CV Determination of Amikacin with Polyaniline Nanotubes/Chitosan Composite Film Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode

    • 1.0 g·L-1 Polyaniline nanotubes-DMF solution was mixed with 1.0 g·L-1 chitosan-HOAc solution in the ratio of 1 to 50 and treated ultrasonically for 1 h. The mixed solution obtained was dropped on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE), to prepare the modified electrode designated abbreviately as PANT′s/CTS/GCE. The electrochemical behavior of amikacin at this modified electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry. It was found that an irreversible reduction peak was observed at -0.2 V in PBS buffer solution of pH 5.0. Linear relationship between values of reductive peak current and concentration of amikacin was obtained in the range of 10.0-80.0 mg·L-1, with detection limit (3S/N) of 8.0 mg·L-1. The proposed method was used in the determination of amikacin in injections, and the results obtained were in consistency with the results obtained by spectrophotometry.
