Abstract
Nonporous urea-formaldehyde resin-zirconia composite microspheres were prepared by the sol-gel method. The dye ligand of a triazine compound (XBR-C1) was immobilized on the surface of microspheres through the nucleophilic reaction between the amido bond on the surface of microspheres and the active chlorine in the triazine ring in a carbonate buffer solution. The extraction efficiency of the dye-ligand composite microsphere was tested by using bovine serum albumin (BSA) as sample under different conditions. As shown by the experimental results, the saturated extraction of BSA achieved to a value of 30.3 mg·g-1,and the extracted protein was eluted easily from the microspheres using 1.0 mol·L-1 KSCN solution with elution rate of 93.5%.
