Application of Factor Analysis to the Study of Curative Effect of 7 Trace Metal Elements in 6 Kinds of Traditional Chinese Medicines

Seven trace metal elements (Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn,K,Mg and Ca) in 6 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines (TCM′s),which were commonly used for invigoration of blood cirulation and smoothening of blood stasis,were determined by AAS,and the data obtained were studied by the factor analysis.It was shown by the results that: ① correlationships among the trace metal elements and correlationships between the curative effects of the 6 kinds of TCM′s and the presence and contents of the metal elements were explained rationally by the factor model;② the factor scores could be used for classification of TCM′s of this category;and ③ results obtained in this study were useful for study on utilization and development of TCM′s of this category.
