    RPHPLC Determination of Polydextrose in Alkyl Polyglucoside

    • RPHPLC was applied to the determination of polydextrose in alkyl polyglucoside. The sample was separated on reverse phase C18 chromatographic column with a mixture of methanol and water (80+20) as mobile phase, and determined with electrospray detector. Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of polydextrose was kept in the range of 18.75-300 mg·L-1, with detection limit (3s/k) of 5 mg·L-1. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 95.0%-109%, and values of RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 0.9%-1.6%.
