Abstract
Sample of flos sophaoae was treated by steam distillation and ether extraction and the volatile oil obtained was used for GC-MS determination.Forty-two peaks were separated, among which 26 compounds were identified, amounting to 87.76% of the total amount of volatile oil.Contents of these compounds,in relative percentage, were found by the method of peak area normalization. The identified compounds were found to belong to 10 categories, including carboxylic acids (30.53%),esters (19.26%),alkenes (18.01%),alcohols (8.64%),alkanes (5.52%) and etc.The main compounds and their contents were found as follows: n-hexadecanoic acid (26.43%),17-pentatriacontene (14.84%),ledol (8.00%),methyl-n-hexadecanoate (4.18%),tetradecanoic acid (4.10%),methyl 8,10-octadecadienoiate (3.79%),lauric anhydride (3.60%),methyl-9-octadecynoiate (3.26%),butyl-cyclohexyl-1,2-benzenedi-carboxylate (3.03),c-elemene (2.66%) and etc.
