    ICP-AES Determination of Stibium in Lead-Antimony Alloy

    • ICP-AES was applied to the determination of antimony in lead-antimony alloy.The sample was dissolved with HNO3(1+1) and 200 g·L-1 tartaric acid solution,and wavelength of 206.833 nm was selected as analytical spectal line for Sb.Linear relationship between values of spectral line intensity and mass concentration of Sb was kept in the range of 5.0-100.0 mg·L-1,with lower limit of determination (10S/N) of 0.179 mg·L-1.Under the optimum conditions,the proposed method was used in the analysis of two lead-antimony alloy samples,giving values of average recovery found by standard addition method of 97.8% and 98.6% for sample 1# and 2# respectively,with values of RSD′s (n=11) less than 1.5%.
