    LC-MS Determination of Sodium Cyclamate in Foodstuffs

    • Sample of foodstuff was mixed with water and treated ultrasonically to extract sodium cyclamate into aqueous solution and then it was purified on an anion exchange solid-phase extraction (SPE) column. Eluate of HOAc(1+4) was used for HPLC-MS determination. Linear relationship between peak area and concentration of cyclamate was obtained in the range of 0.01-50.0 mg·L-1 (r=0.999 8) with a detection limit (S/N=3∶1) of 20 pg. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 94.1%-99.1%.
