Abstract
Wavelet transform method was applied to detect the endpoint for determination of total acid number in jet fuel by potentiometric titration. The discrete binary wavelet decomposition of titration curve was carried out with quadratic spline wavelet as basic function. Much of interfering noise in curve was filtered at appropriate scale, the jump points were obtained by analyzing the detail signals and the titration endpoint was determined. Compared with the indicator method, the results of this method showed considerable accuracy and higher precision. This method was used for rapid determination of the total acid number of jet fuel.
