    FI-Inhibitory Chemiluminescence Determination of Chlorophenols

    • Based on the inhibitory chemiluminescence effect of chlorophenols on Mn(Ⅳ)-RDB system in an acidic medium,a method for the determination of four chlorophenols (2-chlorophenol,2,4-dichlorophen,2,4,6-trichlorophen and pentachlorophenol) by FI-inhibitory chemiluminescence (CL) was proposed.Linear relationships between the magnitude of decrease in CL intensity ΔI(ΔI=I0-I) and mass concentration of the 4 chlorophenols were obtained in definite ranges.The detection limits (3s) of 2-chlorophenol,2,4-dichlorophen,2,4,6-trichlorophen and pentachlorophenol were 5.7×10-7,4.9×10-7,5.5×10-7 and 6.9×10-7mol·L-1 respectively.The proposed method was used in the analysis of water sample,giving the values of recovery in the range of 88.0%-102.0% and RSD′s (n=5) in the range of 2.6%-5.3%.
