Capillary Electrophoretic Determination of Synephrine and Naringenin in Trifoliate Orange

    • Capillary electrophoresis was applied to the determination of synephrine and naringenin in trifoliate orange.Effective separation of synephrine and naringenin was achieved in 30 mmol·L-1 sodium tetraborate solution of pH 10.0.Contents of synephrine and naringenin found in a typical sample of trifoliate orange were 0.724 2 mg·g-1 with RSD′s (n=5) 5.9% and 0.904 7 mg·g-1 with RSD′s (n=5) 3.8% respectively.Average values of recovery found by this method were 89.1% for synephrine and 99.6% for naringenin.
