GFAAS Determination of Chromium and Its Compounds in Air Over Working-place

Abstract
Air sample over working-place was collected by using microporous filtering film with a flow-rate of 5 L·min-1 for 15 min, and the content of chromium in sample was determined by GFAAS. Temperatures selected for ashing and atomization were 1300 ℃ and 2 400 ℃ respectively. Linear relationship between values of absorbance and mass concentration of Cr was obtained in the range within 5 mg·L-1, with detection limit (3s/k) of 6.81×10-4mg·m-3. The proposed method was used in the analysis of air sample, values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 98.8%-100.7%, and values of RSD′s (n=6) found were in the range of 2.2%-2.4%.
