Progress and Prospection of Fiber Coating in Solid Phase Micro-extraction

A review on the progress of solid phase micro-extraction (SPME) during the last decade was presented in this paper. Topics on action and property of the coating,principle of extraction on the coating principle of choice of coating materials,recent progress on the techniques of fiber coating preparation,general situation of their applications,their merits and demerits were related. Special emphasis was given on the principle and technique of the sol-gel method. A prospection on the future progress of fiber coating in SPME was also given (46 ref. cited).
