    HPLC Determination of Residual Amounts of 13 Acrylic Esters in Living Paper Products

    • HPLC was applied to the determination of residual amounts of 13 acrylic esters in living paper products. The sample was extracted ultrasonically with a mixture of methanol and isopropanol (1+2) for 15 min. Zorbax Extend-C18 chromatographic column (250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)was used as stationary phase with mixtures of acetonitile and water with different mixing ratios as mobile phase in gradient elution. UV-detection at 210 nm was adopted in the determination. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of 13 acrylic esters were kept in the same range of 0.1-2.0 mg·L-1,with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 0.14-0.57 mg·kg-1. On the base of blank sample,test for recovery was made by standard addition method;values of recovery found were in the range of 80.2%-104%,with RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 3.3%-7.4%.
