    IC Determination of 6 Anions in Chemical Fertilizers

    • Contents of 6 anions including F-, Cl-, NO-2, Br-, I- and SCN-, in chemical fertilizers were simultaneously determined by ion chromatography (IC). The sample of chemical fertilizers was extracted ultrasonically with water and purified by passing through C18 and Ba solid phase extraction columns. The 6 anions in the extract were separated on IonPac AS18 (250 mm×4 mm) column with IonPac AG18 (50 mm×4 mm) as guard column, by gradient elution with KOH solutions of different concentrations as mobile phase and detected by conductivity detector. Values of D. L. (3S/N) found were in the range of 0.001 2-0.013 5 mg·L-1. Tests for recovery and precision were made, giving values of recovery ranged from 78.9%-103.0%, and of RSD′s (n=6) ranged from 0.61% to 6.5%.
