Abstract
The contents of 16 elements in alloy steel were determined by DC glow discharge atomic emission spectrometry. Iron was used as internal standard. Optimum conditions were found as follow: ① voltage of photomultiplier tube: 850 V;② excitation voltage: 1 000 V;③ excitation current: 50 mA;④ pre-burning time: 45 s;⑤ integration time: 15 s. Values of RSD′s (n=11) of 16 elements found were less than 4.0%. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of CRM of alloy steel (GBW 01399) and standard sample (BS LAS-9),giving results in consistency with standard values.
