Abstract
Sample of water-based glue was treated with a mixture of HNO3 (65+35) and H2O2 by microwave assisted sample digestion under programmed temperature elevation, and content of boric acid in the sample solution was determined by ICP-MS. MS interference was eliminated by choosing 11B as isotope in the determination. Value of detection limit (3S/N) found was 0.12 μg·L-1. The proposed method was applied in the analysis of sample of water-based glue. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 102%-109%, with RSD′s (n=6) less than 5%.
