Abstract
HPLC with DAD was applied to the determination of bisphenol A in printing ink and colour ribbon. The sample was extracted by a mixed solvent of n-hexane and diethyl ether (30+70). The XB-C18 column was used as stationary phase, and a mixed solution of acetonitrile and formic acid (0.1+99.9) solution mixed in the ratio of 40 to 60 by volume was used as mobile phase with a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. Linear relationship between values of peak area measured at the wavelength of 227 nm and mass concentration of bisphenol A was obtained in the range of 0.34-10.96 mg·L-1, with limit of detection (3S/N) of 3.4 μg·L-1. Test for recovery was made at 3 concentration levels, values of recovery found were in the range of 89.8%-93.7% with RSD′s (n=7) in the range of 1.2%-2.5%.
