    Photometric Determination of Total Sulfur Content of Coal with Barium Chromate

    • Total sulfur in coal was determined by the BaCrO4 photometry.The ash and solution remained in the oxygen bomb after determination of calorific value of coal were collected and used as the sample solution for sulfur determination.The results obtained were in consistency with the results obtained by gravimetry.Values of recovery found were in the range of 99%-104%.
