    FI-Photometric Determination of Volatile Phenols in Surface Water

    • Based on the method and technical requirements described in GB/T 7490-1987 and ISO 6439-1990,a modification by applying the FIA technique was made,and a manifold for the FI-photometric determination of volatile phenols in surface water was proposed.A determination by this method was completed with in 30 min.Mass concentration of volatile phenols kept linear relationship with the absorbance within 0.10 mg·L-1 (r=1.000 0).Detection limit of the method was found to be 0.001 mg·L-1.Precision and accuracy of the proposed method were checked by analyzing 2 working standard samples,the results obtained were in consistency with the standard values and values of RSD′s (n=6) obtained were less than 2%.Recovery test was made and the results obtained were in the range of 101.5%-106.0%.
