    FAAS Determination of Lead, Cadmium and Barium in Imitation Decorations

    • The contents of Pb, Cd and Ba in imitation decorations were determined by FAAS. The pretreatment methods of different kinds of samples were described in detail. Under the optimized conditions, linear relationships between values of absorbance and mass concentration of the 3 elements were kept in ranges of 0.1-5.0 mg·L-1 (for Pb), 0.05-1.0 mg·L-1 (for Cd) and 1.0-20 mg·L-1 (for Ba), with detection limits (3s) of 0.05, 0.006, 0.1 mg·L-1 respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of the 3 elements in imitation decorations, giving values of recovery obtained by standard addition method in the range of 88.0%-104% with RSD′s (n=7) less than or equal to 4%.
