Abstract
Direct sample introduction technique was applied to the CV-AAS determination of mercury in lubrication oil to prevent the loss of mercury during the conventional pretreatment of sample by acid digestion.0.1 g of the oil sample was taken for a determination, and the working conditions of the instrument were optimized and preset as follows: ① decomposition temperature: 850 ℃ and ② decomposition time: 120 s.Linear relationships between values of absorbance (peak height) and mass of mercury were obtained in the ranges of within 35 ng and 35-600 ng.Detection limit (3S/N) found was 0.07 ng.Recovery of the method was tested by the standard addition method, and the results obtained were in the range of 95.0% to 102.3%,with values of RSD′s (n=7) ranged from 2.1% to 5.3%.
