Abstract
Gas-solid headspace-GC was applied to the determination of residual amount of epoxyethane in disposable sanitary products including sanitary pad, paper diaper, sanitary towel and so on. After being cut to pieces, the sample was heated to 60 ℃ for 30 mins for equilibrium. Then the headspace gas was extracted and injected into gas chromatograph for analysis by flame ionization detector. The matrix effect was eliminated by matrix-matching calibration. In the matrixes of sanitary pad, paper diaper and sanitary towel, linear relationships between values of peak area and mass of epoxyethane were kept in the same range of 2-120 μg with the same detection limit (3S/N) of 3 μg·g-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of samples of disposable sanitary products, giving values of recovery and RSD′s (n=6) in the ranges of 89.5%-105% and 1.3%-2.9% respectively.
