    Infrared Spectrometric Study on Solvation Property of Methanolic Solution of Calcium Chloride

    • Infrared spectrometry was applied to the study of intereactions between ion and solvent as well as between ion and ion in methanolic solution of calcium chloride with different concentrations.As shown by changes of malecular band of the solvent,strong interaction occurred between Ca2+ ion and methanol mainly through oxygen atom of the C-O structure,shifts of bond of O-H group in methanol was ascribed to the change of hydrogen bond impelled by the concentration of ions.Through deconvolution of the spectra obtained,solvation number of the cation was calculated quantitatively.The micro-characteristic of the solvation process was further revealed.
