    ICP-AES Determination of Lead,Cadmium,Chromium and Arsenic in Industrial Waste Water

    • ICP-AES was applied to simultaneous determination of Pb,Cd,Cr and As in industrial waste water.Working conditions of the instrument and choice of analytical spectral lines for the elements were tested and optimized.Values of detection limit were found to be 0.008,0.002,0.007,0.015 mg·L-1 for Pb,Cd,Cr and As respectively.Precision of the method were tested at the concentration levels of 0.489 mg·L-1 (for Pb),0.086 6 mg·L-1 (for Cd),0.231 mg·L-1 (for Cr) and 0.395 mg·L-1 (for As) for 8 determinations,and values of RSD′s obtained were 1.71%,1.22%,0.95% and 1.40% respectively.Tests for recovery were made by the standard addition method on the base of 2 waste water samples,values of recovery found were in the range from 95.4% to 104.6%.
