Recent Progress of Standard Methods for Analysis of Metals and Alloys Adopted by ASTM in USA and by GB Standards in PRC

A review on recent progress of formulations and revisions of standard methods for analysis of metals and alloys (in cluding iron and steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys, zinc and zinc alloys, magnesium and magnesium alloys, titanium and titanium alloys, nickel and nickel alloys, tin lead solder, lead and lead alloys), especially the present status and trend of application of various new and modern analytical techniques and methods to the standard analytical methods was given. Original views and positive suggestions of the author for the formulation or revision of the GB standard analytical methods were also given (15 ref. cited).
