    XRFS Determination of 12 Elements in Plant Samples

    • XRFS determination of 12 elements (i.e., S, Cl, P, Fe, Al, Si, Mn, Na, K, Zn, Mg and Ca) in plant samples was proposed in this paper. The sample was pressed in a mould with avicael as liner to form a disc sample. Working curve was prepared with a set of simulated samples, which were prepared with CRM′s of GBW 10010-10012, GBW 10014-10016, GBW 10018, GBW 07602-07604, GBW 10020-10028 and GBW 07601a by dry and wet mixing. The mathematical models of matrix correction of the 12 elements were optimized. Values of detection limit (3s) of the method found were in the range of 0.5-610 μg·g-1. Values of RSD′s (n=7) were found to be in the range of 0.11%-4.0% by analysis of the CRM GBW 07602. The proposed method was used in analyzing biological CRM′s, giving results in consistency with the standard values.
