    Electrochemical Behavior of “Ornidazole” at the Multi-wall Carbon Nanotube Paste Electrode and Its Determination

    • Based on the results of study on the electrochemical behavior of “ornidazole” (abbreviated as ONZ) at the multi-wall carbon nanotube paste electrode and its reaction mechanism,an electrochemical method for determination of ONZ was proposed.Under the optimum experimental condition,in a B-R buffer medium of pH 2.21,linear relationship between values of reductive peak current and concentration of ONZ in the range of 1.0×10-6-5.0×10-4mol·L-1 was obtained,with a detection limit of 5.0×10-7mol·L-1.Precision and recovery of the proposed method were tested on the base of samples of ONZ tablets,and values of RSD′s (n=7) and of recovery were found in the ranges of 5.10%-5.23% and 95%-105% respectively.It was shown that the reduction of ONZ is an irreversible process,controlled mainly by diffusion.
