Abstract
An electrochemical study on the interaction of the binary complex alizarine-complexan (ALC)-Pr(Ⅲ) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was reported in this paper. In a medium of urotropine buffer (pH 4.9),Alizarine complexan-Pr(Ⅲ) reacts with BSA to form an electrochemically non-active complex, leading to a deerease in peak current of Alizarine complexan-Pr(Ⅲ).The decrease,of peak current Δip is proportional to BSA concentration in the range of 1.5-17.5 mg·L-1 with correlation coefficient of 0.997.Detection limit of 1.5 mg·L-1,RSD of 2.1% and recovery of 102% were found. The method has been applied to the determination of BSA.
