Preparation and Application of Coated Wire Polyvinyl Chloride Membrane-Salbutamol Sulfate Selective Electrode

    • Potential analysis was applied to the determination of salbutamol sulfate in pork. The association complexs of salbutamol sulfate with sodium tetraphenylborate were used as electroactive materials to fabricate the coated wire polyvinyl chloride membrane-salbutamol sulfate selective electrode. Good Nernst response to salbutamol sulfate was obtained. The ion-selective electrode response range was from 1.0×10-5-1.0×10-1mol·L-1 with a slope of 31 mV·pc-1 and low limits of determination (10S/N) of 6.5×10-6mol·L-1. The prepared electrode was used to measure salbutamol sulfate in pork samples and the results were in agreement with those obtained by the standard method.
