    ICP-AES Determination of Microamounts of Hafnium in Zr-U Alloy with Standard Addition Calibration

    • An ICP-AES method with standard addition calibration was applied to the determination of micro-amounts of hafnium in Zr-U alloy.Hafnium was determined in the concentration range of 50-400 μg·g-1 in the presence of 8 g·L-1 of zirconium.Under this condition,tests for recovery were made by addition of 50 μg·g-1 and 400 μg·g-1 of hafnium to a Zr-U alloy,and values of recovery obtained were 106% and 101%,and values of RSD′s (n=6) found were 5.8% and 3.7% respectively.
