Determination of 7 Licorice Components in Cosmetics by HPLC

    • HPLC was applied for determination of 7 licorice components in cosmetics. The sample was extracted with methanol (7+3) solution. The extract was then separated on an ODS-2 HYPERSIL column with acetonitrile-0.05% (φ) phosphoric acid solution as mobile phase for gradient elution.DAD-detection at 237 nm was used. The linear relationship between the peak area and the mass concentration of 7 licorice components was in the range of 1-200 mg·L-1,with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 0.6-1.0 ng.Recovery rates measured by standard addition method were 92.5%-103%,with RSD (n=6) of 0.09%-1.8%.
