Speciation Analysis of Sulfur compounds in C4 Hydrocarbon of the Refinery

A method for the speciation analysis of sulfur compounds in C4 hydrocarbon of the refinery by gas chromatography with flame photometric detector (GC-FPD) was proposed. The retention time of sulfur compounds was used for qualitative analysis,and the cubic fitting curves between values of peak area and concentration of 6 sulfur compounds were used for quantitative analysis. The proposed method was applied to the determination of 6 sulfur compounds,giving values of recovery in the range of 90.0%-112.0%,with RSD′s (n=7) less than 4.5%.
