    Photometric Determination of Polysaccharides in Ferula Sinkiangensis

    • Polysaccharides in ferula Sinkiangensis was determined by the phenol-H2SO4 photometric method.Absorbance of the reaction product was measured at the absorption maximum of 485 nm.Pure glucose was used as standard and linearity range was found in the range of 10.0-70.0 mg·L-1 of glucose.Coversion factor of glucose to polysaccharides was found to be 3.179.Tests for recovery and precision were made,giving values of recovery in the range from 98.6% to 102.2%,and value of RSD (n=5) to be 0.20%.
