Abstract
A review on the separation and enrichment of harmful elements [including Pb, Cd, Hg, B, U, Th, I, F and Cr(Ⅵ)] in food samples was reported with special emphasis on their application to some optical and electrochemical analytical methods (e.g. ICP-AES, ICP-MS, AAS, ISE and etc.), aiming to eliminate matrix inter ferences (e.g. macro amounts of sodium and etc.), and to lower detection limits of determinations (with 35 ref. cited).
