IC Determination of Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni and Zn in Cyanide Leachate

    • Sample of the cyanide leachate was filtrated with 0.45 μm pinhead filter, and the contents of 7 metal elements including Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni and Zn in the filtrate were determined by ion chromatography (IC). IonPae AS11 (2.0 mm×250 mm) ion chromatographic column was used as stationary phase and a mixed solution containing 0.02 mol·L-1 of NaOH and 0.01 mol·L-1 of NaCN was used as mobile phase. The anionic complexes of the 7 metal cations were completely separated within 30 min. Values of detection limit (3S/N) were found in the range of 0.01-0.08 mg·L-1. Tests for recovery and precision were made, giving values of recovery ranged from 94.0%-104%, and of RSD′s (n=7) less than 2.5%.
