    Comparison of Methods of Determination of Boron in Steel by Spectrophotometry and by Flame AAS

    • In this paper,methods of extraction spectrophotometry and flame AAS for determination of boron in steel were studied and compared.It was found that linearity of working curves was ranged in boron concentration of 0.11-3.2 mg·L-1 for spectrophotometry and 0.05-3.24 mg·L-1 for FAAS.Detection limit (3S/N) was 0.033 mg·L-1 for spectrophotometry and 0.036 mg·L-1 for FAAS.No significant difference among the analytical results of the 2 methods was found.
