    Headspace Capillary Gas Chromatography Determination of Nine Residual Organic Solvents in Loratadine

    • A headspace capillary gas chromatography method was proposed for the determination of residual organic solvents-diethyl ether,iso-propyl alcohol,acetonitrile,2-methylpropanol-2,ethyl acetate,tetrahydrofuran,cyclohexane,triethylaamine,toluene in loratadine.A DB-624 (30 m×0.53 mm,3 μm) capillary column was used with temperature programmed control and DMF as the solvent.The recoveries of nine solvents were 98.2%,98.8%,106.0%,99.0%,97.7%,95.4%,95.1%,93.0%,100.6%,respectively.The deterction limits were 0.056,0.67,0.61,0.45,0.33,0.16,0.041,0.28,0.20 mg·L-1,respectively.The determination limits were 0.17,2.0,1.9,1.1,1.1,0.54,0.13,0.90,0.69 mg·L-1,respectively.
